Point Pelee becomes a winter wonderland as the last snowfall of winter coats the trees with a heavy layer of snow. Point Pelee National Park is Canada's most southern mainland point. The peninsula points into Lake Erie towards Ohio when looking at a map. In reality the most southern sand point moves east and west, shortens and elongates year to year, with the seasons, and with storms. The lake water at the point is very dangerous with undertows and have taken many live to the unsuspecting swimmer.

The 42nd Parallel Point Pelee runs through Point Pelee as well as northern California, Rome and the French Riviera, France and more.
